ABOUT ME
My journey as a caregiver/healer began early, as the oldest of five children. Throughout high school and after graduation, I started nursing school and worked in home health and hospice care. One of the hospice nurses said to me, "You're walking them home, wherever home is for them." This profound statement, similar to what is famously spoken by Ram Dass, has been a steady lens for me to navigate the miracle of life. From the joy of a newborn's first cry to the peaceful transition of a hospice patient, I have witnessed the depth and complexities of life in all its forms.
I knew in my heart that I didn't want to be a nurse; however, I left nursing school with a burning passion for anatomy, physiology, and the human experience. I stepped away from hospice care to work with infants at the JCC in Bexley, in the unknown of what I was going to do moving forward.
One night, I was massaging my partner's feet, and he said, "I think you missed your calling." I signed up for massage school the next day. It was as if I had died and been reborn, and I've been aware of this path I am on ever since. I now realize that life's divine orchestration was guiding me deeper into this work, which continues to unfold, connecting me to a larger plan.
I look forward to meeting you & serving as your massage therapist!
